A downstairs cloakroom, under the stairs, can sometimes be a bit neglected. This was the case with this project, where the whole room needed an update. Out went the carpet, old sanitary ware, radiator and lighting. In came underfloor heating topped with a shiny black stone floor, sleek new toilet and washbasin, heated towel rail and bright modern lighting. The back wall was papered in a striking Cole & Son Flamingo Wallpaper and the splashback tiles were stunning mosaics. This cloakroom now has its own visitor’s book!

The client, who was widely travelled, had acquired a number of artefacts, rugs and pictures. Together with furniture that had been purchased at different stages of her life, this meant that the lounge was visually confusing and in need of ‘pulling together’. We agreed that we would go back to basics, which meant a new colour scheme, furniture, lighting and soft furnishings.
